Joseph is the son of John and Elizabeth Sibberel Walker. He served in the Civil War in Co: C of the 180th Ohio Infantry.
He enlisted as a Private on September 17, 1864 at Tiffin, Ohio and served under Captain Moses Abbott. He mustered out of service July 12, 1865 in Charlotte, NC.  After the war, he became a member of J.W. Ash Grand Army of the Republic Post #679 in Kansas Ohio.  He married Sylvia Ann Harris on September 04, 1856 and they had the following children: James B., Eldora, William, John, Anna, and Joseph Albertis (Bert) Walker.

Joseph Green is the brother of Elizabeth Ann, Catherine E., John G., James Seberel, and Mary Ann Walker.
